At the end of the show, an expert panel made up of Olga Zonova; Sofya Trotsenko, Director of the RANEPA School of Design; Ilyana Erdneeva, the Editor-in-Chief of Russian Glamour; Marina Jigalova-Ozkan; and Nadezhda Mikhalkova an actress and anchor-Woman of the Disney Channel, who also announced the winner.
Bloggers, celebrities and fashion designers came together to crown Russia’s ‘next top designer’ in a large-scale, collaborative Avon and Disney fashion project as a part of The Walt Disney Company CIS and Avon long-term alliance.
The once-in-a-lifetime competition winner was announced on 30 September as Maria Isaeva. She has created a collection featuring Mickey Mouse which will be selling in Avon brochures across Russia from November.
Participants in the exciting Disney and Avon Fashion Academy project were budding young designers, invited to create a collection inspired by Disney heroes.
The competition has featured in TV programme Rules of Style on the Disney Channel in Russia.
The contestants worked with the country’s well-known designers, celebrities and bloggers, and took the Fashion Start-Up course at RANEPA School of Design. They were competing to have their collection sold in Avon brochures.
